Suntree SHXC-250PV 2P 500V DC Battery Breaker 63A–250A IP65

The Suntree SHXC-250PV 2P 500V DC Battery Breaker is a heavy-duty DC protection device designed for solar battery, energy storage and battery-connected DC systems requiring higher current ratings. Available in 63A, 80A, 100A, 125A, 160A, 200A, 225A and 250A versions, the SHXC-250PV provides professional solar installers and system integrators with a flexible solution for protecting and isolating battery circuits across a wide range of energy storage configurations.

Designed as a 2-pole battery breaker, the SHXC-250PV has a rated operational voltage of 500V DC. The supplied technical specification states a rated insulation voltage of 1500V DC, making the product suitable for demanding DC electrical protection applications when selected and installed according to the requirements of the complete system.

For fault protection, the SHXC-250PV provides a specified 20kA rated segmentation capacity (Ics) and 15kA ultimate breaking capacity (Icu). The instantaneous short-circuit trip action is specified at 10 × In, while the breaker uses a magnetic release mechanism. These characteristics make correct selection of the rated current particularly important when designing protection for solar battery and energy storage circuits.

The breaker is supplied inside a durable IP65 enclosure manufactured from PVC plastic. The recommended wiring arrangement is top input and bottom output, helping installers maintain a clear and consistent electrical cabinet layout. Optional accessories specified for the series include a shunt release, undervoltage release, auxiliary contact and alarm contact, providing additional possibilities for system control, signalling and protection.

Designed for long-term operation, the Suntree SHXC-250PV has a specified service life of 10,000 cycles and an operating temperature range from -25°C to +55°C. The stated maximum installation altitude is below 2,000 metres.

With current ratings extending all the way to 250A, the Suntree SHXC-250PV is particularly relevant for higher-current battery installations where the smaller SHXC-125PV range is insufficient.
