The SolaX X3-Matebox Basic is an integrated installation and connection box designed to simplify the installation of compatible SolaX three-phase hybrid inverter and battery storage systems. By bringing key PV, battery, grid, load and EPS backup connections together in a dedicated enclosure, the Matebox helps installers create a cleaner and more organised energy storage installation while reducing the complexity associated with conventional system wiring.
According to the technical specification shown on the uploaded datasheet, the X3-Matebox Basic supports a maximum PV input voltage of 1000V DC and incorporates connections for 2 MPPT trackers. The specified maximum PV short-circuit current is 30A / 16A, providing the electrical interface required for compatible SolaX hybrid PV configurations.
For battery integration, the X3-Matebox Basic supports a battery voltage range of 180–650V and a maximum charge/discharge current of 30A. This makes the unit suitable for compatible SolaX high-voltage battery storage configurations, providing a central connection point between the photovoltaic system, hybrid inverter, battery and household electrical installation.
The Matebox is designed for three-phase electrical systems. Its on-grid section is rated for 380/400/415V AC at 50/60Hz, with maximum apparent grid input/output power specified at 20,000VA and maximum grid input/output current of 32/32A. The grid and load sections also operate at 380/400/415V, 50/60Hz, with a maximum load current of 24.1A.
Backup operation is also integrated into the design. For EPS/off-grid or backup applications, the X3-Matebox Basic supports 400V AC at 50/60Hz, with a maximum specified power of 15,000VA and maximum current of 24.1A. This provides the connection infrastructure required for compatible SolaX systems designed to maintain selected loads during a grid outage.
The X3-Matebox Basic features an IP54-rated enclosure and Class I protection. According to the datasheet, its operating temperature range is -25°C to +60°C, with derating above +45°C, while the storage temperature range extends from -40°C to +70°C. It is specified for installation at altitudes below 3000 metres and relative humidity from 0–100% condensing. Natural cooling eliminates the need for an active cooling system.
With dimensions of 533 × 397 × 204mm and a net weight of approximately 7.5kg, the SolaX X3-Matebox Basic provides a compact and installer-friendly solution for organising the electrical connections of compatible SolaX X3 hybrid energy storage installations. By consolidating essential PV, battery, grid, EPS and load interfaces, it can reduce installation complexity and provide a cleaner professional finish for residential and light commercial solar battery projects.
